Roz's enthusiasm and passion for planning is a driving force at hansen. Her ability to think strategically about development projects is assisted by an approach which is forthright, well informed and perceptive. Roz was awarded a Centenary Medal for services to heritage conservation in 2003 and was included on the Centenary of Federation Honour Role for Women in 2001. These achievements acknowledge her work over many years in planning for areas of cultural heritage significance and assisting women in the planning profession.

Roz has also been an Adjunct Professor at Deakin University, Burwood Campus since 1995 and worked overseas as an international planner in a range of projects including training government officials in planning and development systems and best practices. Roz is highly experienced in the preparation of structure plans and has a sound appreciation of good urban design, land use management policies, rezoning amendments and planning schemes. Her role as an expert witness or advocate is highly respected as are her leadership skills.
