Having 10 years experience in town planning, with positions held at a senior level both in Australia and the United Kingdom, Richard brings a dynamic approach to any planning project. Experience has been gained across a variety of urban, heritage and environmental issues, ranging from large scale multi-storey residential proposals, through to mixed use/ retail/ commercial/ industrial schemes in both metropolitan areas and sensitive rural/urban fringe locations.

His experience has further evolved though major strategic projects, including a regional strategy plan for Hanoi Capital Region in Vietnam and a Neighbourhood Character Study for the City of Greater Dandenong. Additionally, by appearing at VCAT in an advocacy capacity demonstrates Richard’s sound understanding of the Victorian planning system and its legislative framework.

Richard is a hard working, time efficient and dedicated planner with a solid interest in achieving and integrating sustainability principles through the planning process. An understanding of how different cities operate has been further informed and strengthened through extensive travelling through the United Kingdom, Europe, North America and Asia.
