katherine morton
planner
Katherine has recently joined Hansen after returning from a year living and working in North America. Her travels have also allowed her to supplement her tertiary studies by studying Infrastructure Planning in Germany. Prior to her sabbatical, Katherine worked as a planner in a Melbourne based consultancy practice.
During her time studying and working as a planner, Katherine has undertaken a number of strategic urban planning projects throughout Victoria. These include Urban Design Frameworks and Structure Plans as well as Feasibility and Concept Design Plans for regional tourism facilities. While undertaking these projects Katherine has gained exposure to community consultation processes and developed excellent skills in dealing with project stakeholders.
Since joining Hansen, Katherine has also worked on statutory planning applications and assisted in the preparation of planning scheme amendments and submissions to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal. Katherine is also experienced in the formulation of statutory policy having assisted in the review of several Municipal Strategic Statements for Local Governments.
Katherine brings an articulated approach to problem solving which we believe is an asset to our Planning team.
