Hansen Partnership has been engaged by various religious organisations to provide planning advice on the following matters:

• Planning reports on UCA owned properties assessing future use and development opportunities based on current planning and development controls
• Preparation of planning permit applications for redevelopment of UCA owned church properties with heritage and non heritage buildings
• Keynote speaker at Victorian Council of the Churches seminar on cultural heritage properties how to manage these resources in the development control system
• Led a deputation to Department of Sustainability and Environment on the review of the heritage overlay provisions in all planning schemes in Victoria as they impact on church owned properties
• Advice on future use of church owned properties with heritage buildings for aged care and independent living accommodation
• Co-author of the Uniting Church in Australia submission to the Productivity Commission Inquiry into Cultural Heritage Properties in 2005
• Advice to property officers of UCA Synod of Vic. and Tas. and Anglican Diocese of Melbourne on planning related issues affecting their properties
• Planning advice and expert witness appearances at VCAT on development applications for expansion of church operated primary and secondary schools
• Masterplanning of religious and educational institution properties
