project: bayswater plaza integrated retail redevelopment

This project involves the redevelopment of the existing Bayswater retail Plaza to accommodate vastly improved retail opportunities within the Shopping Centre. A 1,230m2 Maxi-Foods Supermarket is proposed as the retail anchor, in addition to a Variety Retail Outlet, Electrical Goods Retailer, Chemist, Bakery, Restaurant, Café and 17 retail tenancies varying from 50 ‾ 100m2 in area.

hansen has involved project architects 6 Degrees Architects, who have developed an exciting refurbishment of the Bayswater Plaza shopping centre providing a modern design palette comprising glazing, simplified horizontal forms, active ground level frontages, commercial signage designed into the building, provision for disabled access and vastly improved retail areas.

This upgrade is preferenced on the principles included within Council´s Bayswater 2020 Structure Plan for the Bayswater Activity Centre and is a project being undertaken in consultation with Council´s Strategic and Statutory Planning Units.
